Position Overview:
The Tax Manager, EMEA will be responsible for all corporate income and indirect (transactional) tax matters within the Bose Professional EMEA region. The Tax Manger will ensure compliance with CIT and VAT and all tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate, timely reporting for assigned countries such as the Netherlands, Dubai, Italy, UK, and Spain, among others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates and implementation to assigned countries.
- Ensure accurate, timely filing and payments of CIT, ESR, CBC, Value Added Tax, including transfer pricing policies and documentation and Withholding Tax returns and other business-related filings for assigned countries
- Manage and facilitate tax audits: preparing responses, supervise audit requests, review audit report review tax assessment, attend tax audits, responsible for tax audits, creating schedules, communicate findings, replying to appeals if required, and etc.
- Support with various tax internal audits, advising and researching tax matters, and special tax related projects
- Provide technical guidance and tax implications of business decisions and transactions to assigned countries . Advice on the day-to-day requests by the assigned countries.
- Understand customer and key stakeholders’ interests and concerns and advise key stakeholders. Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with managers.
- Support accounting team in ensuring that quarterly and year-end tax provisions are correctly prepared within required timeframes.
- Report issues and findings of any related tax matter or subject on timely basis to line manager.
- Tax Risk management: Identify and manage new risks/opportunities, Document risks, impact and likelihood, Define actions and track implementation, Consult with/inform CFO on new risks/opportunities, Analyze existing risks Review existing risks periodically (incl. compliance risks)
- Any other ad hoc work requirements as per management
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong technical working knowledge of laws and regulations (CIT, VAT, TP, WHT)
- Deep understanding of the systems, processes and controls involved in an ERP system
- Fluent in English
- Strong systems experience and excellent Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment.
